Sports and Activities

"So many activities to do — so little time to enjoy them!"

At Quinta we are trying to expand the range of on-site activities available to groups, at little or no cost. So here is the definitive list of what is available now:

BBQ

Either gas or charcoal — the choice is yours. Gas BBQ available for just £8.05.

Campfire

Either in the campsite glade or by the lake. We supply wood for £32.25, or bring your own for free!

Croquet

Available free. A very genteel game, until you want hit someone else’s ball in the wrong direction!

Fishing in the lake

Catch carp if you can. This activity is free for resident guests.

Football

Three places to play: on the field, in the Sports hall or on the hard games yard. We can even provide the ball if necessary.

Low ropes course

Training is required, and the course costs £43 per session. Contact Thirzah Deakin for more info.

Basketball

Available to be played on the hard games yard or in the Sports Hall. And again we can give you a ball if necessary!

Badminton

Available in the Sports Hall and rackets and shuttlecocks are in each accommodation unit.

Wide games

There are two choices available from Quinta — or use the grounds for your own game. Wide Games can be hired from us for £10.75 each.

Tennis

Can be played on the hard games yard and equipment is available for all groups.

Team Building Challenges

In the woods near the low ropes course. Training is required. This activity is £43 a session, or £20 if used with the low ropes course

Photo Treasure Hunt (revised for 2011)

22 obscure pictures from around the grounds — but can you work out where and what they are? Costs just £5.35.

Table Tennis

Can now be played on the Sports Hall terrace or in each accommodation unit, and it’s free!

Unihoc

Available to hire free of charge and can be used in the Sports Hall, the hard games yard or on the field. Just watch your ankles!

Orienteering

Test you map reading skills around the grounds and get your card punched at each marker. Costs just £10.75.

Kubb

Free. Try and knock down your opponents kubbs, but avoid the King Kubb. Beware this game is addictive!

Volleyball

Available to be played on the main sports field, and balls are provided free of charge.

Keys to the Kingdom

5 group challenges which will get you thinking & working together. Available for £5.35 each.

Swimming pool

Available in the summer. Heated by the sun, the water stays nice and cool even on a good weather day!

Walks

Two local walks direct from Quinta are available for just 30p each. Wonderful views, walk into Wales, through a tunnel and over an aqueduct.

Skittles

Costs just £10.75 a session. A great activity for 40 people.
