Terms and Conditions

These Terms and conditions are amplified in our handbook: ‘Rules & Stuff’ section.

1. MINIMUM CHARGES

For each facility used there is a system of minimum charges based on specified minimum numbers, as follows:

2. CANCELLATION CHARGES

There are no exemptions except for "Student Package" bookings and camping. The charges, payable at the time of cancellation, include VAT. They are worked out as follows: your minimum charge, less your deposit and less 10% for every full month left till the first day of the booking (up to a maximum of eight months). The residential element of a multiple booking that includes camping cannot be cancelled without charge, even if camping conditions are impossible.

So when you book you should make arrangements to guarantee the availability of funds within your group / organisation to pay minimum sum of money that you have contracted to pay us. We determine the centre budget on the basis of confirmed bookings for the next period. So, because we are constantly ploughing money back into the centre we often “spend” the income from your booking before you come and we cannot be expected to make good your loss. It is possible to cover the risk of cancellation or curtailment by insurance if this is a problem to you.

3. DAMAGES

The person / organisation responsible for the booking is also responsible for any damage or loss.

4. LIABILITY

The Centre is responsible for providing safe facilities and a safe environment. Beyond that groups are responsible for the effects of their own actions on the site.

5. DEPOSITS, ACCOUNTS & CHEQUES

A deposit, credited to your final account is required with the booking: Quinta Hall £200, Severn Lodge £100, others, including camping, £50 each. Accounts not paid in full before departure or by electronic transfer the next banking day will be subject to a credit charge of 5%.

6. REGULATIONS

The User's Handbook contains general notes of guidance for the use of the centre and rules for the safe use of sports facilities. Users are expected to abide by these.

7. VAT & INFLATION

Any change in VAT will be passed on immediately. Should key costs eg fuel, rise very significantly above the forecasted rate of annual inflation, we reserve a right to impose a surcharge.
